Outdoor Fun for ALL seasons

I found this amazing book last year at Tractor Supply Co. in Bangor.  It was the only left, marked $2.99, and was screaming for me to buy it ;)

The book is broken into seasons, with suggested activities and outdoor adventure for all different adventure levels.  I think the book is fun just to journal what we have done with the kids or what outdoor adventures they've had.  There are 448 outdoor adventures with ideas for making them fun learning experiences.  The book gives you a basic idea of the adventure as well as a challenge.

Some fun, but simple adventures listed as a "1" on the "Adventure Scale" are:
▪ Splash in a puddle
▪ Make a snow angel
▪ Whistle on a blade of grass
▪ Read a book under a tree

The adventure scale goes to a level "5" which includes some adventures like:
▪ Go rock climbing
▪ Cross Country Skiing
▪ Take a picture from the top of a mountain
▪ Create a fort

But there are hundreds of other outdoor adventures in between!  The book also has pages of recipes & projects for each season.

I love knowing that as my children are exploring and having fun, they are learning a world of knowledge even when it may not seem like it.  It's a great way to get outdoors and do things that encourage natural learning!!

I also like checking off the box when we have completed one of the adventures, and when possible I like to journal a bit next to each entry for memory sake!

I have never seen another one in a store, but here is a link to buying the book on Amazon:
